Specification: Course includes approximately 40 hours of radiation safety
training for individuals working as a radiographer or assistant radiographer.
Satisfies the training requirements of the Industrial Radiography Radiation Safety Personnel
(IRRSP) program provided by ASNT. Gamma radiation (RAM) is governed by the Nuclear Regulatory
Commission (NRC). Many states are called an Agreement State with the NRC and maintain
jurisdiction over the regulatory rules within their state. Radiation producing equipment
(such as X-Ray equipment) is controlled by state regulatory agencies. This course is designed
to satisfy NRC regulations and most Agreement State regulations for radiographers working
with gamma and/or X-Ray equipment.
